Module content | Manufacturing is often derided as a polluting activity responsible for much of the damage that has been done to the world’s environment. Limiting the environmental damage of manufacturing (while continuing to benefit from the wealth it creates) has consequently become a central focus of policy makers and business executives, hence the growth of environmental laws (and taxes) governing manufacturing processes and manufactured products, and the associated setting of specific environmentally-based standards through manufacturing supply chains. This elective will focus on the latest legislative requirements governing manufacturing processes. |
